Day 1 continued...

Adventures at Southern Junction:

Susana and i arrived just a little bit late for the lesson. they were about 20 minutes or so into the explaining the two step. We quickly placed out food and drink orders and jumped on the floor to learn and try our hands at it.

Needless to say it the lesson entailed a lot of laughing and and stepping on each others toes and general nonsense, but we had a great time doing it.

Meanwhile our food arrived. I ordered the all you can eat steak, and Susana ordered the all you can eat ribs. We decided we would just share. What we didn't anticipate was that the grill closes early... ugh. By the time we sat down to eat, they were closing up shop. The one piece of steak I got was all that I got. But we did manage to convinence the waitress to bring us as many ribs as she was willing to give up. Seeing that we were having a lot of fun making fools of ourselves, she was gracious enough to bring us a HUGE plate of Ribs. (See the post below for the plate o' Ribs)

Obviously my eyes were much bigger than the my stomach. In an attempt to not waste food (you know the whole starving children around the world issue) I asked the kind family in back of us if they wanted some. The gentleman kindly helped us out and saved me from sheer destruction by the mound o' meat.

The act of rib giving (no not like Adam did for Eve) created a nice kinship with the family. We spent a good amount of time talking to them and it was a great opening to share our experiences with them. We even took pictures of them on the bull!

Stay tuned... Next - Texas Day 2: Putting the FW in Fort Worth.
